Teddy Thompson was another act where I failed to do proper research, so it was a real surprise to realize that his set would be a series of classic country tunes enlivened by the amazing Red Dirt Boys (less Will Kimbrough) with Fats Kaplan. I'm not sure I'd go see the same sort of thing soon (I'm not big on alcohol-soaked weepers), but it was fun enough for a broiling Saturday afternoon, particularly when they ripped through one of the heaters like Walking the Floor Over You.
