The closing set from Phil & Dawes & friends is surprisingly good. It's much the same as any over cover band, and yet slightly different because it's this confederation doing things tonight.

Phil seems to be slightly more frail than last month, but that could be my worried mind seeing things that aren't there. His playing is sharp enough!

Cosmic Charlie is a nice surprise to wrap things up … well done laddies!

Per house announcement by email: “Stu Allen & Alex Koford will be our “Artists at Large” for the festival. Stu will definitely jam with Phil Lesh & The Terrapin All-Stars (and maybe join in with a few of the other sets!) and Alex will be joining the Nicki Bluhm, Scott Law, & Ross James set.”

James Casey was announced as part of the band, but sadly, he's unable to make the trip – resurgent colon cancer's got him in a death-grip… devastating news!
