Notes

Like DSO, I have a chip on my shoulder about JMF: why not go see Melvin Seals, right? Which is a silly, self-limiting way of thinking about the situation, that's going to deprive me of much joy: JMF do a great job recreating the JGB repertoire, and honestly, I'd prefer to hear Garrett Deloian's homage to Garcia more than Kadlecik most any day. Happily, with GD living up here in Norcal, I should have many chances to keep scratching that particular itch!

I think this was my first time hearing Son Vo since Burt Lewis left the band. Props to Son, he did a fine job evoking the rock-steady simplicity of John Kahn.
