Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros Trio

• Jay Lane: drums, percussion, harmony vox;
• Don Was: contrabass;
• Bob Weir: guitar, acoustic guitar, vox.

• Steve Kimock: guitar, lap steel guitar;
• Brian Switzer: trumpet;
• Mads Tolling: violin.

Inside and seated a few minutes after 7 PM – no later than 10 past – despite a small Tixr snafu at the door. It's a laid back crowd for now – hopefully the peaceful vibe lasts all night. No keyboard onstage tonight: lap steel set up there instead!

Gloria was on the setlist as the Encore instead of Baby Blue: I'm gonna guess they ditched that one due to energy/strength concerns with Bob instead of time constraints, but who knows?

Adding Kimock and the Wolf Pack duo really kicked up the overall energy level of the show – sonic room previously filled by Bob's spacey ambiguous noodling was now overlaid with chewy melodic lines from the three additional players. I'm really happy we attended: this was the best night of the three I saw.

It seemed kinda strange that Bob never got around to singing the Dark Star verses: I wonder if he forgot or what?
