Due to over-worrying about Sunday BART weirdness, I arrived at SFJAZZ about an hour early. That enabled me to get first place in line tonight (yay!), but not to hear anything of the early show, as the lobby was crowded and noisy with folks there for the Rosanne Cash show in the main hall tonight. Happily, my pals Erik & Gevie showed up soon therafter, which gave us a nice chance to catch up on the last few months' happenings.

I was kinda disappointed that tonight's set was so similar to the one I caught back in December: guess I need to space out my attendance a little more.

Another surprise is that as Erika struggled a little bit with her voice tonight, I'd have expected them to swap out one or more of her tunes – why not sing less when you're unhappy with your instrument?
