Notes

Kinda chilly today, but not so bad once I generated my dancing warmth.

It was great fun seeing Painted Mandolin today, performing as a trio, sans bass. I love the repertoire of the Garcia-Grisman Band, and I'm really glad that Joe Craven has teamed up with the others to bring those songs back into our consciousness. I also appreciate that the setlist is expansive enough to include originals and covers outside of that GGB core: let's have fun and keep everyone on their toes, eh? Tennessee, for example, is a funny and funky and danceable Matt Hartle original paying tribute to the his dog.

Another great afternoon at Cypress Station!
