With a night's rest and a full house, today's show was at least a hundred times more compelling that last night. Which isn't to say last night was bad, but tonight was the sort of show that makes you want to go see them every night.

Great song choices. Good energy. Dave hamming it up, like usual (I wonder if Julia ever got spanked?).

In the old days, I would have thought nothing of hauling up to Auburn for tomorrow night's show, then back to Oakland for the Sunday gig at Moss House, but now that I've got a better sense of my physical limits, I realized that plan would not necessarily result in more joy. Sometimes you gotta pay attention to the voice of experience!
