Passed the entrance exam and made it to my seat with only a few minutes to spare. Hard to believe, but Bonamassa runs his shows like clockwork: lights down before 8 PM and onstage within a minute or so after the hour … to shred hard for nearly two hours before wrapping things up. I thought the sound was muddy and overcompressed at the start (how can it be like that for the second show at the same venue?), but either it got better as the evening wore on, or I got better at deciphering the lyrics.
