Although I recognized a few melodies, the only instrumental I could identify with 100% certainty last night was Shenandoah. Guess I'll have to rely on someone else to fill me in about all those questions marks!

I thought the multiple false starts to Angel were a distracting way to wrap up the show. It really crushed my excitement (generated when Lu mentioned they were going to finish with a Hendrix cover), and the slightly off-kilter rearrangement didn't really grab me – I guess I've internalized the original version so strongly that hearing something different was a dissonant experience. It wasn't bad, just not like what I expected. Kind of like biting into a truffle and finding out it's mincemeat instead of chocolate.

It was a nice treat to run into various friends before and after the show, and a surprisingly short line afterwards to wait and get autographed merch and fan pix with the principals.
