[8:53 PM lights down, musicians onstage]
Although we arrived just before 8 PM, it was still too late to get “priority” wristbands to let us congregate in front of the stage, so instead Ting and I hung out on the extreme left where the dining room and stairway divide up the space. Thanks to the addition of a Meyer speaker pointed our way, the sound there wasn't all that bad, even if the sightlines were mostly confined to profile views (or Adam's back!).
The setlist tonight was an interesting mix of old and new – I was psyched when Ross pushed off into the Funkadelic jam on the outro to Shakedown Street, and the guys seemed to knit things really well together: it was all just exactly perfect.
I suppose that Neal's tune was probably the best to fit against the Dead of Winter theme for this week's run of shows in the bar. Hopefully someone will fill me in on the proper title for that one!
Big thanks to Ting for the photo gallery!
