I was somewhat disappointed to realize beforehand that tonight's program repeats works I've heard relatively recently – the Dessner at SFJAZZ and the Crumb at Stanford (check that!), but considerably less so now that the event is over: the works all fit together pretty well, making a powerfully moving evening of new classical music.
