Notes

Well I hope y'all enjoyed a happy wholly high day! I know I had fun at the annual Moonalice shindig, even if getting there was a bit of a struggle (stupid traffic), and dancing on those concrete floors gets harder and harder with every visit. It seemed to me that this year's event was someway less crowded than in previous years: maybe because there's more and more competition in the celebration department as time goes on?

Katie Skene added a bit of novelty to the proceedings, but she didn't seem quite integrated into the group yet. Probably just needs more time to learn the repertoire. And she was great on the tunes that she knew. Keep on Growing was my favorite tonight, though the competition was strong; really, the band has gotten to be quite solid, and the more that I hear their originals, the more they blend in with the stone classics. Molo surprised me by busting out Bad Moon Rising – apparently to satisfy a fan request? Should have been paying more attention to his introduction!

Feel like watching the show? Listening? Looking over the cool poster collection? Head to the Moonalice site!
