As long as the music floats your boat, I think you would have liked tonight's concert. I start with that caveat because I don't generally find myself attracted to show tunes … they might be clever, but to me, they're a lot like white bread: not very interesting. Which promptly begs the question: so why did I go? And the answer is that this was one of the shows on the CalPerfs jazz series, so I didn't select it, rather it was included amongst other choices that were attractive to me.

So yeah, I tolerated the show just fine. It wasn't bad, but it's not my cup of tea.
