Tonight's show was pretty darn good, but I felt like the finale's to each piece were more than a little rough … as if the performers weren't quite on the same wavelength as far as where and when they were going to wrap things up. It's hard for me to pin down the problem: jet lag? poor acoustics onstage? My guess is that perhaps Ojas Adhiya just hasn't really integrated into the group as well as the other guys, and so the “loose nut” is making the big wheel wobble crazily as it spins round faster and faster at the finale. The solution? More rehearsal! More concerts! More time together!
And speaking of time, while I appreciate that Anoushka introduced the pieces to us, like usual, I had a hard time catching the titles. Sometimes she was talking too fast for me to catch the words properly. Other times, my fingers got tangled up writing, and so my notes look like a smeary mess (writing in the dark is harder than you'd expect!), Oh well. Maybe someone else will be able to decipher the hints above and give a better account of what happened!
