I thought that Willie's set started out particularly rough – as if the players were all a little out of sync. Maybe they just couldn't hear Willie well enough? Hard to say.

Anyways, by the time they got to On the Road Again the band was choogling along down the tracks like a well-oiled engine.

I think Willie introduced his percussionist as Paul English, but I got distracted as he began the band introduction, and the auto-derange feature on my phone mangled the text into an unintelligible mess. Drat! Reminds me that I've been meaning to disable that function!

Valerie June was the only unannounced guest today – and she also went un-introduced. I wasn't sure what to make of her presence, but after poking around, I saw that she's on tour as the opening act for Norah Jones, so I expect she was simply tagging along this weekend – heck, I'd join this kind of party if I got an invitation!
