Arrived early, waited a few minutes in the queue, then hustled inside to claim a pair of third row center seats. Yay! Dropped a shirt to mark my chair, then ambled over to the bar to drink a goblet of Dogfish Beer to Drink Music To and watch a couple innings of tonight's Giants-Dodgers game. Tied after nine when it came time to head back to the Grate Room, so we wait here in suspense for both the show and the resolution of the game…

Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams put on an awesome show for us tonight. It seemed really strange to me that the show wasn't a sell out … maybe 100 people there, tops? I'm gonna guess that getting the word out to folks who aren't TXR regulars just didn't happen, and many of the regulars we're off at one of the other more rockin' choices available tonight. Anyways, the circumstances made for a very intimate experience, and I'm grateful that we could make it part of our schedule!

Over in the bar for Scott Law and friends: we get the second half of one tune, Crossroads, and then they announce they're taking a set break. Dang! Bad timing! We hang out about ten minutes to gab with friends, then shoot out to the car when it becomes apparent that the set break isn't going to be that short. Oh well, that's how the breaks roll sometimes, right?
