Had a great time at tonight's show – always a treat to get in on one of the “free” Grate Room shows! The guys were psyched to play tonight, and the setlist featured plenty of unusual nuggets. I was most psyched for Let It Ride and Dead Flowers. Ohio was another surprise, especially coming out of Let It Ride, andTons of Steel was another treat, though now that I stop to think, with most of those tunes showing up in the soundcheck, I shouldn't have been surprised at all!

Was thinking during Liberty that the shuffle beat Alex was laying down was exactly right for covering the Radiator's classic Party 'Til the Money Run Out. Sure wish I'd hear some of their originals worked into the TXR mix!

Caught a brief snatch of Cold & in the Bay (doing a hot cover of the Hobo Song from the Old & in the Way repertoire… shoulda been paying better attention!) while hanging at the merch table for a few minutes after the main event. Probably should have hung around to hear the rest of their set!
