Kind of annoying to note that the shows as delivered are rather different from what was advertised. I'm still glad to attend, but rather miffed that there was no official announcement about the change in personnel, or that we no longer got the U.S. premiere of this work.

The actual gig was sublime. A solid set of music, unbroken by any full stops or comments about the tunes that were delivered (hence my lack of time/titles above). Charles inserted a rambling spoken-word rant – in actuality a long quote from Christopher Isherwood’s translation of the Bhagavad Gita – into the encore, but except for that, I don't even recall that he introduced the band.
