What with Jackie's recently concluded stint in the Black Crowes, I was kind of surprised that neither he nor Rich Robinson referenced one another during their respective sets. Drat! I was hoping to experience some of those epic jams!!

In any case, Jackie and crew played a solid set for us – considerably more to my liking than the Fox gig I caught earlier this year. No doubt part of that is due to the setlist – hard to go wrong with jammed out Beatles covers, y'know?

Another thing that surprised me about this set was the general lack of interest from the crowd. Must have been some of that midday malaise or something, but it sure seemed like there were a lot of folks just drinking and chatting instead of listening to the show… Not necessarily more than they did during the preceding set from Rich, but still, quite annoying!
