We might have arrived in Aptos a little later than optimal, but everything seems to have worked out fine nonetheless! Got the next to last parking spot in the usual area, made a couple trips as a pack mule, and one side-trip for a caffeine booster and an egg-n-sausage sandwich from Starbucks. Happily, although the line moved in relatively early today – and definitely a bit before the published start time! – we were more or less ready for the action, and except for a strategic error hiding our nuts, things went pretty well with the entrance process. Ting managed to snag us a nice spot off the Stage Rt corner of the soundboard, so that set things up pretty well for enjoying the rest of the day, yeah!

The sun had burned off most of the fog by the time we walked in, but the air stayed relatively cool for awhile, which made for a nice morning, lounging, reading the Sunday paper, and enjoying the breeze.

The proceedings started promptly (always a good sign!), and after a brief introduction, Ana and her crack band proceeded to tear it up for the better part of an hour. Would I see them again? Sure, why not? Put them in a small venue at an attractive price and I'll put that gig on my calender!
