Notes

House concerts are always fun, and tonight's was a real blast! It was especially cool that all of the performers were mingling with us fans instead of hiding themselves away in a green room. David seemed to be doing really well during the first set, but he ran out of juice towards the end of the second, and sat out entirely for the third. Ting checked in on him during the break, and he reported that he was OK, just feeling bad…it's entirely understandable that at 81, he might not have the stamina that he used to.

I'm not sure whether or not the third set was part of the party plan, but Michael Falzarano was definitely psyched to play longer after David quit, and everyone else stepped up, so yay! bonus time!! Both Franklin's Tower and Forever Young were performed in somewhat nonstandard arrangements. Weird but good! I was especially surprised to hear them close with a “new” Hunter tune: Cupful of Rain – I think that was a first time hearing that one for me!

Big thanks to Ting for the photo gallery!
