Notes

How 'bout a holiday house party in Marin? I'm in!

As far as I know, today's gig is the debut of the G Deloian Band, but I was too lazy to bother Garrett or any of the other folks who might be able to confirm that fact. It was clear that the band was still working out how to approach many of the tunes, but they made it through without any big train wrecks, and only once took a long time-out to make sure they were on the same page.

I was really impressed with the breadth of covers that they threw at us: some of those song choices were really esoteric! I think Mort's Bag was the only original today: that one was a tasty bit of funk jamming.

Given the harum-scarum from news media about the incoming heatwave, it was surprisingly comfy today: perfectly pleasant mid-70's during the first set, then growing chilly with the constant 5-10 mph breeze during the second. Good thing we brought layers!!
