I enjoyed tonight's early show so much that I probably should have bought tickets to the late show too. Lotta good that hindsight does me, eh?

Steven Bernstein was in fine form tonight, and the band was riled up and rarin' to let loose. My guess is that the long Amarcord opener was really a suite pulled from 2013's Cinema, Circus & Spaghetti, but it will take someone with better ears than I to dissect the proceedings and fill us in on what really went down. And as SB referenced Hal Wilner's Amarcord Nino Rota, it's equally possible that should be studied too. Good luck finding that one these days!
