Kinda slack inside when we arrive: maybe too many folks stuck in vaccination approval line? It definitely created a big log jam. We settle in to a spot on the 1st Tier Rail, a bit off-center, but good enough to make me happy! Time to wait!

8:20 PM and the house has filled in relatively tightly up front. Still a bit of slack at the back and side on the first tier where we are. Hard to tell about farther back… Seems like the fans are ready to get smoked. C'mon guys, let's see some action! Nope: gotta wait another 25 minutes. Heck! At least I can lounge on the floor until showtime.

First set is a blazing hour of music: those boys are really fired up! People are going apeshit up in the pit: it's not quite a mosh scene, but there's plenty of joyful bouncing happening. Things are a bit more sedate on the tier, and I'm happy to say that no one tries to crash our space except for lost folks trying to enter the pit (and missing the stairway).

Second set is even better: Two Grateful Dead covers? Oh yeah, I'm happy about that!

Woulda been nice to see the second show tomorrow – totally different tunes, yeah! – but with Sound Summit all day, that ain't gonna happen: maybe next time through.
