Another easy trip to SF tonight: Monday light traffic plus good timing on my BART connection at West Oakland means I have plenty of time for another visit to Fermentation Lab. Tonight's choice is another smooth pour from the nitro tap: Barebottle Roast Malone. Per untapped, “This super smooth cookies-n-cream-inspired nitro porter, brewed with Maris Otter and Viking Cookie malts, will definitely make you feel better now.” It's quite yummy, especially as it warms up a bit in the glass.
So tonight's show was darn good, but like a lot of Beethoven recitals, I was worn out by the end. Too much listening! Might have been perfect to leave at set break when I felt like everything had gone perfectly. Not that I'm saying anything was bad about the second half, only that my ability to really pay attention and listen carefully seemed to be inadequate to the task set before me. Maybe I should have studied the program better?
Anyways, I'm glad I came, and I'm grateful that I got to sit up close (2nd row center is the best!).
