Performers

The show opened with enthusiastic greetings from Leah, then the curtain parted and Peter shuffled out slowly, sat himself on the stool placed center stage, and opened things up with If This Old Guitar Could Talk, playing on the Martin D18 formerly owned by Charles Sawtelle, AKA Slade: very touching!

I was sorry to see Peter hobbled tonight: hard to tell if the issue is hip or knee, but either way, it looked like he was hurting, despite his protestation to the contrary. I'm guessing that pain was an indirect contributor to the slightly abbreviated second set.

His band was darn good, and great fun to listen to. Maybe not so flashy as the Travelin' McCourys, but they kept my attention all night, and I'll be happy to put Peter back on my calendar again soon!
