Notes
7 Come 11 got things off to a high energy start with a killer set that had the early crowd skankin' and hoppin' like frogs on a frying pan.
As it was a sold out show, things got pretty tight for the start of the main act, but happily, the scene loosened up after a couple tunes. My guess is that folks realized it was better to exhale and enjoy a little more dancing space than to squeeze up front against the stage.
George and his pals seemed to be enjoying themselves throughout, and the show had a happy, feel-good vibe.
I was surprised to hear Eyes of the World as a cover choice, and for a moment wondered if that might presage a surprise appearance by Bob Weir or another guest, but nothing came of that.
The addition of Eric McFadden midway through the third set was great … George and Brian seemed to throw off a bit more energy in response to Eric's antics.
People Say was a great way to end the night!
