Wow, what a treat! Tonight's show traveled a wide range of musical territory, and was quite a rewarding journey. The entire show was excellent, but my favorite has to be Loro: it's a rare thing to hear performances of Egberto Gismonti tunes.

In a very belated update, in 2024, SFJAZZ made a video of this show available for on-demand viewing! The minor hitch is that you need to sign up as a member ($5/mo or $50/yr) … seems like a bargain to me!
