Hard to believe that it's been over a decade since Norah Jones first burst onto the scene. I guess I haven't been keeping to close an eye on her, but given that her latest single, Flipside, is really good, maybe I shouldn't be so slack about it! Hmmn, lessee, playing in my neighborhood at the Paramount on Oct 28 and gee, sold out, except for a few scattered seats offered on stubhub for over $100 each. I guess she's still got some pull with the hip kids!

I was really happy to hear her play It Must Have Been the Roses – I think it was the only Grateful Dead cover of the day, and it felt good to feed that jones, even if other folks nearby me were too busy socializing to listen much. There's no accounting for taste! And the same yahoos were also too busy to listen much when Neil came out at the end of the set for his own tune, Don't Be Denied. I'm happy to see that one popping up in the setlists at Sugar Mountain now and then – it's a goog 'un!
