Notes
Whoa! This section is incomplete for now, sorry!
Impressions:
stupid Sunday traffic! we arrive and join the long queue to enter pretty much as Cosmic Twang is walking offstage
great weather today, but a little hotter and it would have been brutal
the astroturf lawn is a huge upgrade over last year's sand pit, but my back, knees and feet all chime in to say that at the end of the day, the underlying surface is way to hard for a full day of dancing … fitbit tells me I logged over 18k “steps” today – I must have been having fun!
things are pretty loose on the lawn all day … there's room to move if you're not too clumsy!
things are crowded everywhere else: at the bars, at the food stations, in the shade, in the bathroom queue…
everyone – both crowd and bands – seems to be in a good mood
Soulive kills during their set. Neal's left hand bass lines are thumpin'
Phil introduces the horns by first name at the end of the show, but I don't catch his mumble
