Happy happy happy! I LOVE Fela music! Tonight's gig was exactly the sort of thing I wanted to hear, and my only complaint is that the band didn't play us another twenty or thirty-minute tune. It was really surprising to me that Taylor and Julian fit in so well – I suppose that's the work of some serious rehearsal time, but DANG! They were killin' it, just like the Antibalas guys (who've been playing this repertoire for years). I can only hope that Eric likes playing these tunes so much that he'll bring the band back for another visit in the future!
