Notes

After watching the NPR webcast of his recent performance at Newport, I was really lookking forward to seeing Ryan Adams again. His new album is great, he's gotten together a band that can really rage (Newport was only the third gig for this new band), and he seems to have his head in a pretty good space these days. So I was pumped to see him listed as the Friday night closer, and I'm happy to report that he delivered the goods in spades!

It was good to hear some of my favorite older tunes (Let It Ride, Easy Plateau, Peaceful Valley) mixed in with the new ones (Gimme Something Good, Shadows, Trouble), as well as some (New York, New York, Dirty Rain) that I wasn't all that familiar with. Really gets me psyched to see him come back around for a full length gig in the near future.
