What great fun!
Fatoutmata's opening set was plenty long, and while it might have started out kinda slow and mellow, by the third or fourth tune she had the house reeling and hopping, and things only got higher from there!!
By way of contrast, Oliver Mtukudzi's tunes spanned a smaller stylistic range than Fatoumata's, and consequently, as much as I enjoyed that particular musical niche, by the end of his set I was ready to hear something different.
