Well yes I am! We headed over a little early in order to avoid any late afternoon traffic hassles and find a parking spot without having to stress about running late. Arrived in town just a few minutes before they shut down San Anselmo Ave to car traffic: perfect for getting into the tiny city lot next to Imagination Park. Not many people in Creek Park yet: maybe a dozen folks spread across the lawn area? We set up our chairs in front of a maple tree a little off to stage right, figuring that high back chairs down front or even middle center would be a little rude when everyone else present has low back chairs or just lawn blankets. The crowd fills in little by little, and likewise the band picks up steam as they go. _Later Days_ is a nice surprise, with Grahame and Brian doing a decent take on the harmonic path established by Tim and Greg in the Mother Hips' original recording. While I stay seated until they bust into _Shakedown_ at the end of the first set, at least half the time leading up to then I'm thinking that I should just stand up and boogie since the view from my chair is occluded by folks walking in or out or closer or father or simply stopping in front of me as if I'm another piece of lawn furniture. Must be my orange and black SF Giants spiral jersey blending with the orange chair I'm sitting in, right? Ting had the foresight to pick up takeout dinner from Taco Jane's right before the show started, so now that it's break, we're rearranging the pieces so that we each get one ahi taco and one salmon taco. Both come with such thick, giant, cuts of succulent fish that I can overlook the lack of avocado. Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum!! Set two is a serious dance party for most of the folks up front, as well as a serious challenge for the parents who've given their young-uns free run of the park. Seems like a kinda safe place for that until you realize how steep the bank is next to the creek! Hard to tell whether the loud peeps and shrieks are in fun or terror. Good thing none of them are my responsibility! I dig the song choices, and I'm surprised when we arrive at the end of the show: where'd all the time go? Must have been entranced again. Driving home is a breeze, except for the parts when we get stuck behind bumbaclots who don't know how to mash the go pedal. Good thing I'm a very patient man! ## Photos Big thanks to Ting for the photo gallery! **Whoa!** This section is incomplete for now, sorry! Back to the previous event! ☸ Up to the 2024 yearbox! ☸ Up to the 2024 event list! ☸ On to the next event!
