## Notes

Hah! 2 PM and the blanket is empty but for me. Too many temptations in other places I guess. It was fun to visit with folks while we could. I took advantage of the lull to adjust my spot and move just a bit forward and over to the center in order to try and get away from the talkers that were distracting me during Orchestra Gold.

[2:04 PM] Reinforcements have arrived. Funny how that works! Time for more socializing, and a few bites of delicious smoked brisket BBQ courtesy of Ross, yum!

[2:15 PM] and it seems like we're ready to go...ah well, crap. I'm 15 min too soon, dang!

Christone's set is impeccable. Best of the day!

If I was my younger, more energetic self, I'd put 110% into getting myself to the Great American Music Hall to see him tomorrow night. Thinking more rationally about that notion (a bad idea?), I realize that I'm gonna be in the park all day for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, while the Kingfish gig is a 9 PM show with an opener...that could work, right??? With enough time for a dinner break? What's the hitch? Well the first one is whether I could stand being on my feet for another couple hours. And second, I'd like to catch the 'Sunday Church' Soundcheck from Emmylou Harris at the Banjo stage. Gonna be really hurting if I try and do both! I think I'm gonna take a pass on the Hardly Strictly Out of the Park set tomorrow. It's very tempting, but I'll leave that for folks with more juice than me.
