YESTERDAY

 Amethyst and Taiji Figure
 Taiji Figure

It was the first weekend back after our Japan trip.  I was still severely jet-lagged, but I woke up early so as not to miss my Massage Therapy appointment.  I had given Randy a Five-Massage Package at Body, Mind, & Spirit for Valentine's Day and bought a package for myself at the same time.  Massage therapy is not only a treat but a necessity when you are doing Hankido. Two months of rolls, falls, and throws left me feeling more whiplashed than 5 years of Taekwondo combined (in Taekwondo, you just get bruised).

The pictures of the amethyst, Taiji figure, and fairy print were decorations in my massage therapy room. The decorations and the music in the Center all contributed to a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. An hour of Swedish deep tissue massage and I was ready to face another month of Hankido!

After the appointment, I met Wai Ching in front of Cody's.  I have known Wai Ching since I was in the third grade.  She moved out to California and settled in San Francisco.  We get together once every few months, but the great thing about having had friends for a long time is that you just pick up where you left off no matter how long you are apart. We settled on having lunch at the Coffee Source.  The name is misleading. The Coffee Source serves great salads and sandwiches with enough of a portion to ensure you have another meal's worth to take home! After lunch, we walked around Telegraph checking out the various vendor booths until I had to take off for my optometrist appointment.

My optometrist is on Shattuck, so it is pretty convenient. Unfortunately, he could not see me, because my insurance does not allow me to see the eye doctor more than once a year and I had seen him only 9 months before.  But the visit was not all in vain.  I picked up some more contacts while I was there.

There was still a little more time to kill before I had to head home to get ready for tonight's show, so I stopped off at the Touchless Carwash and gave my car a bath.  There is nothing like driving around in a freshly-washed bimmer!  :-)
